Our Jumbo Dry Sea Scallops (U10) are the largest scallops we offer, with 10 or fewer scallops per pound. Hand-selected for their exceptional size and quality, these premium dry scallops are naturally sweet, rich in flavor, and buttery. Perfect for creating memorable meals at home. 

Unlike wet scallops that are treated with added water or phosphates, our dry scallops are left just as nature intended. That means they sear beautifully, develop a rich golden crust, and retrain their naturally delicate shape and flavor with the excess moisture in your recipe. 

One thing you'll probably notice is that truly natural sea scallops aren't always perfectly round or bright white. Depending on the season and the scallop itself, they may range from a creamy ivory to a light vanilla or even a soft peach-orange hue. These natural variations are a sign of an untreated dry scallop -not a defect- and are one of the characteristics chefs look for when selecting premium seafood. 

Whether served alongside a perfectly grilled steak, tossed in an Alfredo, or simply finished with butter and herbs, our Jumbo Dry Sea Scallops are the centerpiece of an unforgettable meal. 

To ensure adequate refrigeration during shipping in the summer months; we are adding dry ice sprinkles to the coolers.  If the product arrives frozen or partially frozen it can be immediately thawed and the fresh quality will not be  jeopardized. These products have not been frozen prior to shipment. If you are ordering frozen and fresh products, we recommend placing 2 separate orders, otherwise fresh products will arrive completely frozen.

Storage & Inspection

Storage: Fresh & Frozen Scallops will arrive packed on frozen gel packs. Fresh Scallops should be immediately placed on the coldest part of your refrigerator. Frozen Scallops should be placed in the
freezer; unless you plan to consume them within 24 hours; you can begin thawing them in the refrigerator.

Inspection: Fresh Scallops are shipped in plastic containers. Fresh Scallops can have a bit of Sea odor upon opening, Open and remove from container to let the scallop’s breath and this will dissipate. Rinse container and return scallops if desired. A freezer quality (heavier mil) seal tight bag is a great alternative storage package.

Preparation & Consumption

It is recommended that scallops be rinsed in
ICE cold water and drained before cooking.

Expiration

Once Shipped, Fresh Scallops have a 3 day refrigerated shelf life upon receipt. Use or freeze within 3 days of receipt. Frozen scallops should be consumed within 180 days of purchase.
