Fresh versatile Chesapeake Bay clams are famous in chowder, delicious steamed with olive oil, butter or wine, and excellent cut into strips, breaded and fried. Chopped clams enrich any white sauce when served over pasta. Our clams are freshly harvested from some of the best clam beds along Virginia’s Southern Chesapeake Bay. Chowder clams are the largest clams available and are staples in all varieties of chowders.
Store your fresh clams in the fridge, covered with a damp paper towel. Do not store them in water, but you can soak them in water (salted water is best!) for a couple hours to clean them before cooking. They are fresh for a couple days. After cooking, you can refrigerate them for 3 more days.
Fantastic in just water and butter; or, they are great with linguine and a white wine sauce!
